Can somebody (anybody) have a look and see if you can spotto any mistakes/mis-numbered sites/omissions/etc.? It has been several years since we had anything by way of updates so I suspect our lists are quite out of date?

Andrew

EDIT: Also, does anyone know where I can find a list of the VIC RMR sites?

I thought there was one here somewhere but I can't seem to find it?
Pumper 50's Vicradiozone website shows:
https://vicradiozone.com/government-net ... ork-sites/

As for SA they are in the process of activating their new P25 network as I type.
It is not operational except for testing purposes by the techs

I think I now have a reasonably complete list of the VICRMR sites, a little over 200 of them..
As part of the RMR expansion the plan, currently, is for 238 sites. Some, whilst licenced on ACMA, still need to be actually built, locations such as Harrow, Lawloit, Murtoa, Mount Zero, Bairnsdale, Bayview, Bass Hill (Ryanston) and Traralgon are all waiting to be built.

Great work on the map BTW. I've been doing something similar when time permits. https://vicradiozone.com/government-net ... site-maps/

BTW re MMR. I've found a couple of freqs that seem to have been removed form the system as part of the ACMA embargo 50 planning or similar.
A freq or two originally noted for some sites has since gone and I need to source the new allocation.

I knew I forgot to mention something regarding the RMR Network!

NSWPOL have purchased an initial 100 Tait radios in order for cross-border comms. Uncertain of placement and allocation structure and future additions.
I just know they have them for such and they got 100 of them.

Incidentally Motorola will be supplying the new VicPol radios apparently. As will they also supply to Corrections Victoria and SES.

Surf Life Saving Victoria will be using Kenwood radios I'm told for their access to the RMR Network.

Interesting, I know at least some VICPOL cars (from Bendoc at the very least) have NSWPF channels in their radios too (complete with crypto keys) because the VIC RIDs still pop up on our channel every now and then.

If memory serves, the Eden General Duties truck always used to have a separate VICPOL radio fitted too?

And right back at ya with compliments on your work, your website was where I got most of the info!

That's right Andrew, I remember hearing Vic radio comms in the background of some of Eden 26s transmissions

Hi Folks,

I've added a few new planned RMR sites to my MMR Network and RMR Network map that I provided the link to in my previous post.

Whilst I have the planned frequencies (which are now also on ACMA) they haven't quite determined the CC or ACC from the sites planned frequencies so I haven't added them in yet.

These latest additions brings the RMR Network up to 238 sites now.

Andrew you can grab the new sites ACMA Site ID number from the map in order to grab the details from the ACMA DB and add to your own work.
Hope it helps

Cheers.

Thank you sir, I'll work my way through the list tonight and see what I can find?

When I last checked (almost a month ago now) there were 117 ACMA sites for the MMR and 211 ACMA sites for the RMR, so a lot must have changed in the last month or so!

Seems a waste to have so many areas overlapping between the MMR & RMR networks, you'd think it'd be easier just to give first-responders in those areas dual-band radios so they could access either system?

Just checked again and there are now (as of five minutes ago) 241 ACMA sites for the RMR, I wonder if they're still adding them and whether I should wait a couple of weeks for the dust to settle?

Also checked the MMR count again and it's unchanged at 117 ACMA sites.

Hi,

One of the sites might possibly a duplication.

I noticed they had a listing for two locations at Maryborough.

Apparently in August 2016 the site was moved from one Maryborough site to another with the same control channels, frequencies, etc.

This move was initiated by Telstra due to problems at the original Centenary Hill, Maryborough site.

But the old site was still listed in addition to tbe new site on ACMA around two weeks ago.
